Chickens are not that much work. If you want something that is a lot of work, tell him you want rabbits! lol Chickens don't really need much, some water- feed- and a secure coop because everything wants to eat them. My hubby didn't want chickens at first...and then he is the one that ordered 125 this spring... lol

I want to put chickens in our back yard but my husband is refusing so far. Says they are a lot of work. pft, I just want some fresh eggs!
