Saturday

July 31st.  I have been so busy with so many new things around here!

We sold our WGS on Thursday, I hate to see them go, but we spent too much on them not to breed them and we just don't have the time.  I feel good knowing that they went to a nice breeder and family.  I have lots of chickens now!  My Barred Rock flock had gotten down to only 10- 6 pullets and 4 Cockerels.  2 weeks ago we bought 20 laying hens, mostly RIR and a few mixed Barred Rocks.  I have been getting about a dozen eggs a day-hoping when it cools off I will get more.  I am selling eggs for $1.50 a dozen and seem to be selling them pretty well.

I am still babysitting the girls on Fridays- yesterday was a trying day.  I might start babysitting a little girl same age as Sophia full time this fall-we will see.  I hope I get it because that would mean an extra $360 a month or so.  It would cover our new car payment...oh yeah we bought a 2003 Ford Escape at the beginning of July...will talk about that in a bit.

The new car... We bought it at Jimmy Mitchel Motors in Aurora.  They gave us 2500 for our explorer as a trade in which was a super good deal.  The Escape only has 62,000 miles on it which is excellent since it is already 7 years old!  On July 18th we dicided to go to Grove, OK to Har-Ber Villiage for our anniversary.  On our way home just outside of Mount Vernon-the transmission went out. C-R-A-P!!!! We called a tow truck and had to towed to the dealership (thankfully we weren't very far away!)  Well they did give us a 3 month/3,000 mile warranty with a $100 deductible. THANK GOD!  Finally on the thursday of that week we got a loaner car...a 2010 Ford Focus--pretty but not practical for a family! More like a teeny bopper car.  But it did get really good gas milage-around 30 mpg.  Well they ended up having to order parts...Just got it finished last Thursday, got the Escape back yesterday morning bright and early.  I looked at the bill...it would have cost us $2500 to fix it. Shit. so glad it was under warranty.  We haven't even made a car payment yet.

Sophia now has 4 teeth- two bottom and her 2 top eye teeth.  She has been super fussy the past few days, hoping she will get some teeth in soon.  She goes for her 15 month check up on tuesday.  Cooper has been grouchy this week, but I think it has a lot to do with Chris not coming in until after he goes to bed-= Cooper not seeing him but a few minutes a day.

Can't believe Cooper will be 3 in 22 days.  Doesn't seem possible!

We have a tractor pull this evening- the kids are staying with my mom.  I think it is just too hot for them to be outside.

I twisted my knee yesterday and am in so much pain everytime I move.

The flies won't leave me alone!  They keep landing on me-so tired of it.
