Tuesday

This morning is so beautiful! Birds are chirping- outside and in :) Sun is shining, windows were left open over night! so nice.

Yesterday started out really good- fed bottle calves, cleaned Chicken cage, did some early morning laundry- and then my allergies hit.  I took some benadryl- and it kicked me in the butt by noon.  Ended up taking a nap from about 1-2:45 while the kiddos were sleeping.  Kinda felt like I wasted the day.  Oh well. 

I haven't done much today so far, I didn't get into bed last night until almost 11, ugh.  I had to go to Walmart last night after class and get some things for Chris's trip.  He is leaving early Thursday morning for Kansas.  He is going with Dad to a auction:http://nixonauctioneers.com/component/content/article/90...  I hope everything goes okay while he is gone.  I hate it when he leaves-which isn't very often.  4 days is a long time though.

Sunday

wow- I haven't accomplished as much as I have in the past 2 days in the past 4 months!  The weather is so nice and we have been working outside all weekend.

Yesterday morning we went to Weaubleau and bought 27 baby Barred Rocks!  They are so cute and adorable.  I have never raised baby chicks and I can't believe how messy they are!  They are so piggy too!  They have ate 3 feeders of food and drank 3 quarts of water!  sheesh!  We have them on the backporch right now and Cooper spends most of his time out there (when he is in the house that is )

When we got home from Weaubleau, we put the chickies in the dog crate and then wrapped the crate with Chicken wire.  I am using puppy pads for the floor (on top of pastic tray that easily slides out).  Chris now needs to get to work on building the outdoor chicken coop!

After we got the chicks settled, we started on our beds outside.  Chris can get free rock from the new quarry down the road, so Friday he brought me 4 ton of pea gravel. Mom is planning a new creation in front of her house and gave me all of her old edgers.- total score.  We did these:

We also mowed the yard and cleaned up.  We had the SWMATPA meeting at 6, so we didn't have enough time to work on the tree bed.

Today we went to church, and after Church we went to Pizza Hut in Buffalo to eat.  Mom and Dad and Granny went to.  It was a fun time.  We stopped by Buffalo Walmart on the way home and I bought some Marigolds and a few things for Chris' trip this weekend.  When we got home Chris went over to Dad and Mom's to play with the square baler- I was told don't ask about how that went. lol I take it not good.  While he was gone I made another flower bed.

Later Chris got home and we planted garden.  We planted a row of Onions, a row and half of Spinach, and a row of green beans.  I hope everything comes up okay.  This is the earliest in the pst 3 years that we have gotten the garden out.  I am so excited!

I made breaksfast for supper tonight-for Chris and Cooper that is.  I made them a pound of Bacon, eggs, and oven fried potatoes and onions.  Cooper also ate a small bowl of corn flakes.  I had a spinach salad with FF Itailian dressing.  It was really good.

Friday evening Cooper, Sophia, and I took a little walk into the woods behind the hog lots...now calf lots. (there hasn't bee hogs in there since '94 but they will always be called the Hog Lots lol!) I took my camera and took a few pics.  Our weaned Holsteins are in that lot, along with Cooper's Heifer.

Thursday afternoon

my whole day was ruined. 

I feel like poo- no energy whatsoever and I have so much that needs to be done.  I wish someone would take the kids for a weekend so I could get what needs to be done-done.  I have papers to write and a very dirty house, laundry is piling up, garden needs to be planted, roses need to be cleaned around and trimmed, so much to do. 

I seriously don't know how some people keep a clean house all the time.  I am so embarrassed right now.  there are crumbs, toys, laundry, cat hair, dirt, ashes, all over the house.  You can barely see the floor in our bedroom.  Cooper's room is the only clean room in the house-because I had to clean the carpet after he had a minor accident in there.  The kitchen floor hasn't been mopped in weeks, the dishes are piled up-the ones that don't fit in the dishwasher at least.  I need to cook dinner but I am going to have to wash a skillet to cook in...  The backporch is a disaster- Chris cleaned out his truck and dumped it all onto the backporch.  The man cannot take his boots off and set them up- he kicks them off and leaves them wherever they fall.  there are wood chips everywhere and he insists on keeping the milk replacer out there-causing mice.  ugh. I want my new house and a housekeeper- or better yet send Chris to "how to pick up after yourself" school.  He is so gross sometimes.  oh and the spit bottles and cans.  He chews in bed which is totally repulsive but I can't get him to stop- and after numerous cans of chew spit had been knocked over- his solution to put his spit bottle in our underwear drawer!! with no lid.  so our underwear drawer is always open making the room look even messier-if it were clean.  and he keeps cluttering up the yard with crap...

don't even get me started with our dogs.  We bought Sparkle and Sampson 2 years ago- planning on raising puppies.  Spent $800 on Sampson and $450 on Sparkle.  They are registered with pedigrees.  HE refuses to build a pen to put them together.  I have come up with mnay solutions- but they aren't good enough.  It pisses me off.  PLUS they are not updated on their shots-because he never makes up his mind on either taking them in or doing it ourselves-which we know how to do-it can just sometimes cost a bit more. 

he cleaned out the stove pipe yesterday evening-lest soot dust all over the floor.  lets Cooper get into EVERYTHING under the sun...baby powder, markers, fish food, SWMATPA stuff, his drawers in his room, etc. 

okay I need to stop ranting.  but this is how I am- when I get super mad about one thing, everything else that I have been irriated by fizzes to the top...just like can of shaken can of soda...fizzzzzzzzzzz

I am so mad this morning.  Last night I stopped at the Bakery (something I NEVER do) and bought my Grandma Kirksey a half dozen of Pecan Praline Rolls for her birthday that was yesterday.  I also bought her this beautiful potted flower and a card.  The Rolls were all nicely wrapped in this cute little box.  I set everything on the counter and went to bed.  I wake up this morning and Chris rolls over and asks, "hon? why did you buy those pecan thingies? they aren't very good." SHIT! WTF! "Did you eat them??"  "yeah I tried a couple of 'em, but I really don't like pecans."  "Did you ever think that they may NOT be for you?"  " well you can't eat them you are on a diet, remember?" "No shit sherlock they were for Grandma hence the wrapped box, card, and flower???" "oh I wandered what all that crap was." OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Why so men so clueless!?! I am so mad the tears won't come because all the water in my body has turned to steam! 

So now I don't know what to do.  I would make her something, but I know she doesn't need a whole batch of something.  And Chris doesn't deserve anything sweet.  I guess I will just take her the flower and forget the sweets.  Maybe later on I will take them some supper or something.  I am still so pissed off though.



Oh and about yesterday's post...it is all good now.  Just a big misunderstanding.  Makes me feel a little better.

ya know what sucks?  realizing that someone doesn't like you and you have never done anything bad to them.  A certain person and her family are moving to Missouri and she is upset because she isn't anywhere near any of her girls and is in the middle of nowhere.  crap.  guess I am not one of her girls.  I really thought she was a nice person.  sigh. oh well I guess I must remember that not very many people like me and should only care when someone does make a point that they like me. 

I am so tired of people thinking that the midwest sucks.  seriously people.  every state has good charachteristics and bad.  Missouri is awesome.  Caves, waterfalls, hiking trails, Ozark mountains, huge farms, rodeos, museums, mines, gambling on the rivers, BRANSON, famous people, awesome schools, affordable living, great chinese food, I could go on.

Such a beautiful day!

This morning we went to S&H and got some more parts for the squarebaler, and then we looked around at the tractors for awhile.  After that we went to Lowes and bought a new John Deere Lawn Mower- it is awesome.  We have already mowed the front yard- I need to pick up the back yard and mow it too.  We also bought a Swisher Push Trimmer- weed eater on steroids as Chris calls it.  And since we bought a John Deere lawn mower- they threw in a John Deere Lawn cart that even has a dump bed($200 value)!  Luckily at Lowes anything that is over $299 and is put on your Lowes card has 0% intrest for 12 months right now.  We hope to pay it all off with next year's tax return/and or some calf money.  We have the money right now, but we don't want to be broke either. 

  If easter wasn't tomorrow we'd try to plant garden.  I have been cleaning house right now.  Mom and Dad are coming over tomorrow after everyone leaves to look at our new toys, and I know they will want to come in and look at the cabinets and things.  If you know my mom you know she has a critical eye about cleanliness. ugh.

Well Easter is tomorrow- Chris and Cooper got into Cooper's Easter basket last night- boo hoo.  So I guess we aren't even going to tell Cooper there is an Easter Bunny-  I don't know we may tell him and Sophie the truth about Santa too.  I really hate to dissapoint them when they get older.
