Wednesday

Well last night at school- class was actually interesting.  We watched the movie Truman- it was really good -but i like history.  We had to skip through part of it so I just added it to my NetFlix Queue. :)

The weather is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L today, just wish it wasn't so windy.  Easter weekend (this weekend!!) is suppossed to be crap- rainy and chilly. yuck.

Cooper really amazes me more and more every day.  This morning he was playing with the letters on the fridge- he know most of them now.  He has now figured out (from watching his PBS cartoons) that letters have sounds.  He had the 'R' and was saying rurr ru rurr R letter R.  And he was doing the same thing with a K!!  He is just blossomed over the past few weeks.  It is like since he has become potty trained my little boy just dissappeared.  It make me feels so pround, yet sad.  This summer is going to be so fun- I can't wait.

I just realized this morning though, that if he had been born a month earlier he could be starting preschool this fall...instead though he has to wait until the next year when he is almost 4.  And then the next year when he is in his 2nd year of preschool, Sophia will start ehr first year!  My babies are growing up! I can't believe just how fast the time flies.

Well- I guess I need to get out of the house and enjoy this beautiful weather today.  I have the windows open and the curtains are blowing in the breeze- feels like summer!

Tuesday

Sigh. The weather is suppossed to be beautiful today and tomorrow.  Today the high is 71 and tomorrow ...get this 78!!  I can't wait until it warms up.  It is already 45 degrees.  I woke up crampy this morning though-yuck.  I hate that my cycles are all screwy, but I guess there isn't really anything I can do about it.

School last night went okay.  After my last class I stopped at Kmart and bought stuff for the kids' easter baskets.  And I found little portable potty chairs for $4.99- buy 1 get 1 50% off! So yeah I bought 2.  I thought they would be great for the car and maybe one for mom's house.  Also I found Lindsey a carseat for $34.99 -reg $54.99.  I called her and bought it, hopefully she will be able to stop by tomorrow- I have to clean this house!

After that Kmart I went across the street to WalMart and bought a few groceries and dogfood/catfood.  I finally bought me some new potholders- mine keep dissappearing-it is very strange.  Sophia was out of diapers- it is so nice not having to buy Cooper diapers!  He has a case of them that we bought last month!  I can't believe how fast the whole potty training thing went once he was interested.  Amazes me whenever I think about it.  Now we only need to get him used to the toilet. hmmm.

hmmm 2 of my fish were dead this morning.  Everytime I clean the tank 1/2 of my fish die.  I started out with 8, then there were 4 and now there are 2.  I need to get some more fish.  I was going to buy some more last night, but decided not to when i saw it was the same guy that got my fish last time for me at Walmart...this guy is really weird.  I went to elementary school with him and he talks to me everytime I see him.  Talks to me like we are besties or something.  When I see him I cannot get the image of the 3rd grader William out of my mind.  He had these jeans that had the 7 dwarfs on them and wore them almost every day.  Very diturbing.  He seems like an alright guy now, but it is just kinda odd.  And the weird thing is he was working at Bolivar Walmart and last night I was at the one on Kearney street in Springfield.  weird.

Monday

Oh where to start-

Saturday it rained a ton more- yuck.  Saturday evening I volunteered at the Trading Hnads sale- I really enjoyed it.  Didn't really meet anyone- but talked to other moms and it was fun.  My legs were and feet were killing me when it was all over though.  It wasn't real hard work, but included lots of "runnin".

Sunday we skipped out on church.  I feel kinda bad, but I just really didn't feel up to dealing with the kids and I knew there would be a lot of people there since it was homecoming.  So we went to Springfield and picked up my check from the kids sale and then we went flea marketing.  We went to the STD flea market on Trafficway and the Majestic on Commercial and National.  I really liked the STD one- found some really good deals.  Would have like to look around some more, but Cooper threw a fit and made the trip somewhat unpleasant.  He calmed down after I found him a fire truck that lights up and makes noise for $4...he was wanting an old tonka truck that was priced at $45.- like that was gonna happen.

I did however find some piece for my enamelware collection and a jar for my jar collection for a really good deal.  I found an enamel cereal bowl that I had never seen before for $4 and then Chris found some square enamel pans that were priced really cheap.  He insisted we get them- I think he really like the enamelware stuff too-even though he always gripes that I have too much. lol.

Cooper did really well though- he stayed dry the entire time we were gone.  We ate at Cracker Barrel- I thought they might have something I could eat with my diet- but the only thing on the menu was a tossed salad- which was in reality just a small bowl of lettuce with 2 tomato chunks on it----all for $2.99- what a joke!  Our waitress was horrible.  I left $2 but Chris decided that she didn't even need that.  Cooper didn't eat much of his and we wanted to take it with us- but we never could get anyone to bring us a to-go box.  Our waitress literally brought us our food and dropped off the ticket and never came back to check on us- no drink refills- didn't ask us if we wanted dessert- nothing!  and they weren't that busy for it was 3:30 in the afternoon!

Cooper just got up so I guess I will get off the computer for awhile and try to get some stuff done.  I need to cook some meat up for this week and pick up the house.  School starts back tonight- I really am excited.  I need to stop and get the kids some easter baskets and I guess we are going to try and color eggs this week. Hopefully it will be warm enough we can do it outside!

Friday

Well I haven't been doing so good with my diet today- I hope it won't mess me up too much.  I ate a can of tomato soup for lunch and a small salad.  And I dipped my morning apple in Light Cool whip.  I don't know why, it just sounded so good.  Well I lost almost 2 pounds yesterday- so if I do gain a little, I guess it won't be that big of a deal.

The weather is beautiful today, but not real warm.  It suppossed to rain tomorrow and Sunday, but be in the 70's all next week.  We really don't need anymore rain- I hope it doesn't rain a lot.  I just want it to dry up and be warm for awhile.  I can't emphasize enough on how much I want to get the garden planted.  It has been driving me crazy.  I know the kids would love to be able to play outside too.

Chris got the red wagon put together last night- Cooper loves it!  He has been pulling Cookie Monster around in it all morning.  I just made him go take a nap.  Sophia is napping now too.  I am truly blessed on how well they both will sleep during the day.

Oh and I bought some new fingernail polish last night.  It is so cool. I was painting my nails this morning and Cooper wanted his nails done too...so now my little BOY has purple fingernails and toenails.  Chris is not going to like this! lol. oh well we will take it off his fingers before church on sunday.

Sunday is homecoming at church- I really don't think we will stay for dinner or the afternoon service.  I can't eat anything, and would have to bring my own food.  Plus I don't really see the kids making it until 3-4 in the afternoon at church.  I would like to go, but I just don't see it happening.

I am so tired today, I don't feel like a slept hardly at all last night.  And I have a lot of homework that I have putting off to do.  So I guess I need to start on that- it isn't due until Tuesday, but still.

Thursday, March 25

Thursday

Well I bought a ton of stuff at the Consignment sale yesterday.  I ended up being able to get there at 2- I am glad!  Mom offered to watch the kids for me and Chris actually ended up taking the day off (we woke up at 8...) So Cooper spent the day with Chris and Dad out in the shop changing the oil in all the big tractors.

At the sale I bought Sophia and Cooper a bunch of clothes for soooo CHEAP! PLUS I got them a BRAND NEW IN BOX radio flyer wagon with wood sides- now Chris has to put it together. :) I also got them some toys including: a 3ft cookie monster, some toy trucks, a cow-pig-and goat that makes animal sounds, a toy guitar that plays music, and a nursery rhyme book that sings and has all sorts of features.  I only spent $112 TOTAL!  I kinda wish I could go back- but I think I am done. lol.  I work up there Saturday afternoon- I really can't wait- it is just 4 hours of volunteer work, but maybe I will meet some other moms and things.  It will be nice to actually do something.

I have lost 3 pounds since Monday- so I guess I am back on track.  I measured myself again yesterday and I have lost INCHES! I lost about 2 1/2 inches around my waist and 3 inches around my bust.  That excites me greatly.  Mom has quit the diet- she says it was making her sick, she thinks it is b/c of all the medication she takes-plus she doesn't really like meat.  So she gave her injections to Jim Bob-my cousin.

It started raining yesterday and is still raining today.  We really don't need all this rain, especially after the snow we recieved last weekend.  It is so MUDDY outside and now it is probably flodding in most places.  The ground is completely saturated with water.  It makes me so aggravated because I am never going to be able to get the garden planted.  I planted my irises earlier this week-in the mud.  I hope they come up.  It is suppossed to my a beautiful day tomorrow-I hope the sun shines all day and maybe dry some of the mud up.  I feel so sorry for the calves and cows that have to walk around in all this mud.  I especially feel bad for the cows at the dairy next door- they are born in a mud lot- no grass anywhere.  Yesterday I saw three different calves being born.  The poor things.  Luckily though, they don't stay out there long.  John usually has them sold before they are born.  We have bought 7 from him this year already.  4 of them we have already weaned and we have 3 on the bottle- they are about 2 weeks old.  So cute.

Saturday is the Studentkemper Farm Machinery Auction-Chris is going in the morning, but has to come home in the afternoon so I can go volunteer.  Last year it was extremely muddy and Chris spent the day pulling people out of the mud.  I have a feeling it is going to be the same way this year.  He is hoping to find some feed troughs and things for our cows.  I brought it up the other day that we don't actually own any-and the ones that we have been using are the ones that dad replaced with new ones---they are in that bad of shape.  Hopefully they will have some concrete ones out there.

Monday

So I got up this morning, weighed and completly forgot to take my shot.  I started immediatly working on tagging clothes for the huge consignment sale this week and by 10am I was shaky and starving.  Then I realized DOH!  So I go take my shot and slice up an apple.  I drank a gallon of water today and have only ate 2 apples and 2 salads.  Hopefully I will have lost weight tomrrow.

I took the clothes to drop off this evening. Wednesday I will go shopping! I can't wait.  I need to get to work on my homework.  I have a test to accomplish, a paper to write and I need to figure out what I am going to do my research paper over.  I want to do it something in realtion to my family and roots (the main topic is Why I like Missouri)  It isn't due until May something or other but, I need to start working on it.

Today the weather was really nice, but I wish we hadn't of had that weekend snow.  It made it really muddy again, I need to get in the garden.

changing tastes

Ya know it is really weird...all my life I have not liked raw tomatoes- not even when Pregant.  But now since I started this diet I have developed a liking to tomatoes.  I can literally eat a salted slice of tomato.  My husband was in a hilarious state of shock the other night when he saw me do this.  He didn't ever think he would see the day.  I think it is because I love tomato dishes- spaghetti, tacos, chili, lots of mexican foods and tomato soup- and now I can't eat them.  I just ate a huge salad with lettuce, 1/2 of a large tomato, and 100 grams of shredded chicken breast.  I salted and added a bit of garlic powder and some ranch dressing.  It was DIVINE and I think the garlic added just the right touch.

Also the past few days I haven't been doing so well drinking my water-since I had to throw out the bottle I had been keeping it in.  So I bought some powerade zero last thursday in 20oz bottles.  I have drank most of them.  Today I made a gallon of Crystal Light and filled the empty Powerade bottles, this way I think I will drink more.  I have already drank 2 bottles.  I am hoping to drink 1/2-1 gallon of water/flavored water a day.  I was doing that the first few days and lost weight regularly, I need to keep doing it.

I have already ate my 2 apples and really want another one, but I think I may eat the rest of the tomato.

My mom is on this diet too, but I don't think she will be able to keep up with it.  It is really important to eat meat-preferably chicken or steak, she doesn't really like either.  I am a HUGE meat eater so this doesn't bother me at all.  I love steak and chicken.  Last friday I cooked 3lbs of Chicken breasts in individual 100 gram portions and bagged them and froze them.  They are great for stir fry and salads.

Today I scored at Woods.  They are having a 5 for $25.00 sale on their steak.  I purchased about $35.00 worth of steak for $25 and I also finally found some more Tri-Tips.  Woods is the only grocery store that I have ever found tri-tips at.  Chris says that they are his favorite cut of meat, luckily they aren't that expensive.

I have also found that this diet has cut our grocery bill by quite a lot.  I didn't realize all the junk I had been buying.  I realize I am buying more different things that are a bit more expensive, but it is still cheaper than before.  It just amazes me.

HCG Diet

I have been on the HCG diet (injections) since March 10th. I started out weighing in at 291 pounds and gained 2 pounds on Phase 1. So far I have lost 11.2 pounds in Phase 2. Yesterday I gained 14ozs but I think it is just messed up a bit becasue I started my period yesterday. Buying Groceries has become challenging, I didn't realize that so many things had so much sugar in them. I have been eating alot of salads with chicken on top. I am not suppossed to have dressing, but I can't give up my light ranch. I tried the ranch vineagrette, it is okay-but still not as good. I have also been eating alot of stir fry- technically I am not suppossed to have soy sauce or oyster sauce because it does have sugar in it- but I don't know how else to eat it. No oil, fat, or butter hasn't been as challenging as I thought it would be, but it is challenging when Chris wants a fried pork chop. sigh. Today I had tillapia and asparagus- it was actually better than I expected. I have discovered that my favorite apple is the Pink Lady- almost like a granny smith, but a tad sweeter and redish. I have had to cheat a few times because of my blood sugar dropping, but I don't think it really hurt me any.
I want chocolate really bad- especially when Chris ate the Russell Stover Peanut Butter Bunny infront of me the other night. Plus I would love some McDonald's fries...but a girl has to do what a girl has to do. I still need to lose 120 pounds to be ideal. It's going to be a long road, but I think I can do it.
